BIM team go back to school .

Two members of the BakerHicks BIM team recently guest lectured for students studying for their Masters in Quantity Surveying and Project Management at the University of Salford in Manchester.

Highlights .

  • Sharing real world design experience and knowledge with Masters students
  • Looking at application of BIM and the skills required to understand and use it

With a focus on the ‘BIM for the built environment’ module, Paul Slee, Associate BIM Manager, and Sajni Sanghani, BIM Coordinator, attended class to explore the application of Building Information Management (BIM) from a real-world perspective in a design, engineering and project delivery consultancy. 

Opening with BIM standards and the challenges of working on complex BIM projects, the duo drew on career experience and live project examples, demonstrating the skills to understanding and using BIM, as well as the software which makes it happen.
